This weekend sees the European Le Mans Series at the iconic Silverstone circuit, home of the British GP, as the race series returns to the UK for the first time in six years.
Vmoto was asked to help support the event with the use of our electric CUx PRO scooters, which will be used by officials to get around the circuit in a safe and environmentally friendly way. The use of the electric Vmoto bikes helps Silverstone’s drive to innovate as they aim to cut out carbon in their ‘Drive to Zero’.
The European Le Mans Series joins other prestigious racing series such as MotoGP, BSB, and the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, where Vmoto has supplied electric paddock scooters to the likes of racers, teams, organisers, circuit and event staff.
ELMS features full grids of 44 cars across four classes (LMP2, LMP2 Pro/AM, LMP3 and LMGT3) with the ultimate prize of an automatic invitation to the world’s most famous race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Tickets are available from £20 and available to purchase online from the Silverstone website.
Gareth Hughes, General Manager Vmoto UK
“It’s great to be asked by the team at Silverstone to help out again for a second time with Destination Net Zero, as they aim to become a leading sustainable business and leisure destination, achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2040.
Vmoto’s electric scooters, with their ease of use combined with zero emissions, are a great attribute towards this goal. We’re passionate about all forms of racing so being able to assist staff and officials move around the iconic Silverstone circuit during the European Le Mans Series event is something we’re truly proud and excited to be a part of.”
