With a point to prove, Tommy Bridewell lit up the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park this weekend with two sensational wins, blowing the championship battle wide open as we head towards the end of the season.
Tommy Bridewell had a point to prove in the first British Superbike Showdown round at Oulton Park on the weekend, with a sensational double win that has put the Oxford Products Moto Rapido rider firmly within contention of the hotly contested championship title. The two race wins on the weekend means that he now sits just 9 points shy of leading the championship as we head into the two final rounds of the season, meaning it’s fully up for grabs for the Super Soco supported team.
In the Pirelli National Superstock Championship, Chrissy Rouse made good in the two races of the weekend, finishing second in the first race after narrowly missing out on the top step of the podium, but then settling the score in race two with a fantastic and well-earned win.
In the Pirelli National Junior Superstock Championship, Liam Delves push through a difficult weekend to finish with some solid results, with a tenth-place finish in race one that he then improved on in the second race to finish seventh.
After switching his machine at the previous round, James Bull was still getting to know the new R6 he’s now piloting in the National Junior Superstock Championship, but he’s been making solid progress with the new equipment.
