Helping improve rider skills with Vmoto and the California Superbike School

Some of the Vmoto UK team recently made the short trip to Bedford Autodrome at the beginning of June to take part in an event run by the California Supersbike School, one of our commercial partners.

The UK riding school operates at a number of UK and European circuits offering training suitable for riders of all abilities, from newly qualified riders to pro-racers, with its syllabus consisting of four levels of training, each of which is delivered across a single day.

Each of the levels covers a wide range of technical skills and drills, which are taught off-track and then put in to practise on-track, with coaches giving individual debriefs to each pupil after every riding session.

For 2025, the California Superbike School is now offering on road training for riders away from circuits. This training programme is aimed at those riders who want to improve their riding skills but either don’t possess leathers (a necessity on a racetrack) or who would prefer not to ride in a track environment.

Vmoto supports the school with the use of an electric CPx Pro scooter, a model that is equally at home in race paddocks across the globe as it is commuting or being used for last-mile delivery services in cities.

Gareth Hughes, General Manager – Vmoto UK & Ireland LTD
“It was great to spend the day with one of our commercial partners linking up with the California Superbike School. They’re a great asset to Vmoto because they allow us to offer some of our fleet customers expert riding tuition through their road school. And we also get to take some dealer partners to their school days held on race tracks as well, which as well as being really useful and informative, is also great fun too.

As always, the day we visited earlier in month was a fantastic, well-organised event run by Jane, Gary, and their brillinat team of coaches. Typical British weather meant mixed conditions from rain in the morning to sunshine in the afternoon, but this allowed everyone to master their drills with varying levels of grip…

“Vmoto provided prizes for the most-improved and star riders in each group, so it was a pleasure to hand out some of the awards on the day. And it was also good to see the school’s Vmoto CPx electric paddock scooter running around, with the instructors using it in between sessions for marking out the track. These visual guides helped with turn in points to further assist the lessons being taught, with all the drills helping everyoine on the day become both safer and more confident on two wheels.”
